It's only me

It's only me
By Tommy LoMaglio

Together we can make it past
Only if this moment lasts
Melting down those fragile hours
Meliciously the time's devoured

Yesterday is a lost tomorrow
Darkened light bringing sorrow
Extinguished flame atop a candle
And my hand alone can grasp the handle

Nearer, Nearer lurks this fear
Lurking close to find me here
Oh, and then it's plain to see
My fate is made by me, and only me

And as the thought shook my soul
Gloom and fright swallowed me whole
Lost, though I am, I still play this role
I can't imagine that it could be
Only me, It's only me

I think I must point this out. This poem is about myself. About how my decisions in life, my fate if you will, is determined my myself. And I used a device called acrostic in this poem to make it personal to myself.
